The Valle Eagle Training System
The Valle training gloves form a progression, and buying in that order gets the most out of them.
Start Flat
The Eagle Switch pancake, the four-finger Eagle KK and KK-P, the ambidextrous Eagle KKS and the feedback-focused Eagle Halo all remove the pocket so the player has to field with two hands. They fit players from tee ball up and are the gloves coaches carry by the dozen.
Then Shrink the Pocket
The Eagle K47, Eagle 8S and Eagle 975S keep a pocket but make it small, so the ball only stays when it is caught in the center of the glove. The Eagle 1050S does the same job for outfielders and the Eagle 11S for first basemen. Catchers get undersized receiving mitts like the Eagle T25 and Eagle 27S, plus half-web and weighted versions.
S-Series or Pro Series
S-Series trainers are USA steerhide with an adjustable strap wrist back. Pro Series trainers use Kip leather with an open wrist back, which makes them lighter and closer to a professional gamer in feel. Same patterns and pocket sizes; the difference is leather and fit.
More Than Gloves
Valle also makes the Eagle fungo bat and one-hand training bat, undersized leather training balls that pair with the trainers, plyo balls and arm bands for throwing programs, glove conditioner and the Back Hand wrist accessory, and a line of players', catcher's and ball bags in team colors. All of it is available here at Valle's advertised pricing.
