ProNine CPM9 Composite Pitching Machine Baseballs - Dozen
The ProNine CPM9 is the all-weather workhorse of the machine-ball line: a 9 inch baseball with a thin composite cover, PU and rubber center, premium wound yarn windings, and a flat seam made for machine use. It will not dent bats, it does not care about wet grass or turf, and it costs meaningfully less than leather while still swinging like a baseball. Sold by the dozen.
Composite Where It Counts
Machine balls live a hard life: wheel friction on the way in, barrel contact on the way out, and whatever the weather is doing in between. The CPM9's thin composite shell resists all three, so the dozen you load in the feeder keeps its shape and finish long after leather covers would have scuffed open.
Bat-Safe by Design
ProNine builds the CPM9 to not dent bats, which matters when your machine sessions run through the same composite and alloy barrels your team games with. High-volume cage programs get their reps without sacrificing a bat rack to them.
Where It Fits
The LPM9 leather machine ball is the step up for feel; the PM9 dimpled ball is the step down for price. On the softball side, this same composite build is the CPM12. All of them run through the pitching machines we carry, and its practice-field cousin is the X4 composite practice ball.

Composite or dimpled?
The CPM9 is a stitched-style ball with windings inside, so it flies and feels closer to a real baseball. The PM9 is molded polyurethane: cheaper per rep, more uniform, less baseball-like.
Indoors or outdoors?
Both. The composite cover handles gym floors, turf, and wet outdoor cages without soaking up water.
