The ProNine CPM12 puts a thin composite cover on a 12 inch machine softball with a solid polyurethane center and a flat seam built for wheel feeds. It splits the difference between the leather LPM12 and the dimpled PM12: real-ball looks and flight with all-weather durability, at a price a season of fastpitch machine work will not embarrass. It will not dent bats. Sold by the dozen.

The Middle Path for Machine Softballs

Dimpled balls are cheap but feel nothing like a softball; leather balls feel perfect but cost like it. The CPM12's composite shell keeps stitched-ball flight and appearance while shrugging off the moisture and turf abrasion that age leather covers fast, making it the sweet spot for programs that machine-train year round.
