ProNine LPM9 Leather Pitching Machine Baseballs - Dozen

The ProNine LPM9 is the flagship of the leather machine line, and its resume is the point: Major League organizations and top college programs load this ball into their pitching machines. A 9 inch full grain leather cover, PU and rubber center, premium wool windings, and a flat seam reinforced with special armored stitching give it the feel of a real baseball with the durability machine work demands. Sold by the dozen.

Who Runs the LPM9

Major League organizations using ProNine's leather machine baseballs include the Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Guardians, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, LA Dodgers, Minnesota Twins, St. Louis Cardinals, Toronto Blue Jays, Texas Rangers, and Tampa Bay Rays. On the college side, the LPM9 shows up in machine work at BYU, the University of Texas, Cal State Fullerton, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, South Carolina, Kansas, North Carolina, Stanford, Cal Berkeley, UCLA, USC, Baylor, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State, Auburn, Florida State, and Tufts, among many others. Programs that could practice with anything pick this ball.

Reacts Like a Game Ball

Machine practice only transfers if the ball behaves like the one hitters see in games. The LPM9's leather cover and wound interior deliver true flight and honest feedback off the bat, which is exactly why the teams above run it instead of sacrificing game dozens to the wheels.

The Armored Seam Difference

Feeding a stitched baseball through spinning wheels hundreds of times a day destroys ordinary seams. The LPM9's flat seam profile keeps the wheels from grabbing thread, and the special armored stitching resists abrasion that unravels regular game balls, so the dozen lasts long enough to earn its price.

Where It Fits

The CPM9 composite machine ball gives up the leather cover for a lower price, and the PM9 dimpled ball covers high-volume cage work at the value end. Pair any of them with the pitching machines in our lineup. For 12 inch softball machines, the same leather build comes as the LPM12.

Machine ball or game ball?

Machine ball, through and through: flat seam, armored stitching, no league stamps. Use game dozens for games and save them from the wheels.

Leather, composite, or dimpled for my program?

Leather for the truest feel and feedback, composite for durability per dollar in all weather, dimpled for the biggest bucket at the lowest cost per rep.
