Pro Series #42 50x12x10 Batting Cage Net

$499.00

About the Pro Series #42 50x12x10 Batting Cage Net

The Pro Series #42 50x12x10 Batting Cage Net is a heavy knotted batting cage net that measures 50 feet long, 12 feet wide and 10 feet tall. Net only. Frame, poles and hardware not included. It is a good choice for programs that want a heavier net than a #36 for daily batting practice.

Batting cage nets are labeled with a number that describes the weight of the netting cord. A #42 net is heavier than a #36 net, so it holds up longer under hard contact from older hitters and pitching machines.

Hanging the Net

  • On a frame: hang the net on a 50x12x10 frame and attach it at every corner and along the top rails.
  • On a cable system: use the Batting Cage Cable Kit to hang the net from beams, walls or posts.
  • Rest the bottom of the net on the ground so balls do not roll out.

Ordering Tips

Confirm the frame model and measure before ordering. Programs with several of the same frame often keep a spare net on the shelf, so a torn net can be swapped the same day instead of taking equipment out of service.

Finishing the Cage

Add a Batting Cage Door for easy entry, a 4x6 Canvas Batting Cage Backdrop behind the hitter to protect the net, and Batting Cage Ground Stakes to anchor an outdoor frame. For other sizes see the #36 Standard Batting Cage Net and the #45 Pro Series Batting Cage Net.

Making It Last

Keep the net pulled tight so it does not rub on the frame, clear leaves and debris from the bottom edge, and close small holes as soon as they show up. In regions with heavy snow or long off seasons, take the net down and store it dry.

Choosing a Net Weight

A #36 net is a mid-weight net for backyards and team use. A #42 net steps up the cord weight for programs that hit every day or run pitching machines at high speed. A #45 net is heavier still. Choose the lightest net that will hold up to how often and how hard your hitters use the cage, and you will get the best balance of cost and life.
