The ProNine FPWTB is a weighted training bat built specifically for fastpitch softball: durable bamboo, game-size barrel, and an approximate -2 weight to length ratio in 33 and 34 inch lengths, several ounces heavier than a typical fastpitch game bat. Sold individually.

A Cage Bat That Respects the Fastpitch Swing

Generic weighted trainers are baseball tools; the FPWTB keeps the same barrel size used in fastpitch games, so cage work transfers instead of retraining. At roughly -2, a 33 inch bat swings around 31 oz: honest overload for a player gaming a 23 oz composite, without turning the swing into a shot-put.

Save the Gamer, Train Anyway

Composite game bats hate cage balls and cold-weather volume. A bamboo cage bat absorbs the thousands of practice reps, protects the expensive gamer, and adds strength work for free.

What does -2 mean?

Length minus weight: a 34 inch, -2 bat weighs about 32 oz. Fastpitch game bats run -10 to -12, so this trainer adds roughly 8-10 oz of overload while keeping game dimensions.

Can it be used against live pitching?

No: like the whole ProNine trainer line, it is built and recommended for tee work and soft toss, where weighted training belongs.
