About the JUGS Standard Screen Replacement Netting

JUGS Standard Screen Replacement Netting is a replacement net for the JUGS Standard line of protective screens used in baseball and softball practice. It is the same black, double-thick 45-ply Dacron polyester netting the Standard screens are built with, so a worn or torn net can be swapped out while the steel frame stays in service. Choose the net that matches your screen: L-Shaped, C-Shaped Softball, or Lite-Flite and Slowpitch.

Choosing the Right Replacement Net

Each option is cut for one Standard screen shape. Match the option to the screen you own:

These nets are for the Standard screens only. Black JUGS Protector Series screens take Protector Series Replacement Screen Netting, and Protector Blue Series screens use their own Blue Series net.

Why Replace the Net Instead of the Screen

On a protective screen, the netting wears out long before the frame. Balls hit back up the middle land in the same part of the net, at short range, practice after practice. Once the twine frays or a hole opens, the screen no longer protects the pitcher, coach or machine behind it. The 1.5-inch cold-rolled steel frame on a Standard screen is still sound at that point, so a new net puts the whole screen back to work for a fraction of the cost of a new one.

For a small tear in an otherwise healthy net, a Batting Cage and Screen Net Repair Kit can buy time. When the damage is spread across the face of the net or sits right where batted balls land, replacement is the safer fix.

Double-Thick 45-Ply Polyester Netting

JUGS Standard Screen Replacement Netting is black, double-thick 45-ply Dacron polyester, the netting that comes on the Standard screens. It is flexible enough to absorb impact and resilient enough for regular backyard and youth league use, whether the screen protects a coach throwing batting practice, a player feeding a pitching machine or a pitcher working through a live arm session.

Installing the Net on a Standard Screen

Each net is made to fit the existing Standard screen frame, so there is no welding, cutting or custom lacing involved. The Lite-Flite and Slowpitch Screen uses Quick-Snap connectors, which make netting replacement on that model fast and tool-free.
