G Tee Pitching Sticks

G Tee Pitching Sticks are a visual aid for a baseball pitcher working location. Strings run across the hitting zone at set heights, so instead of aiming at a general area a pitcher throws at a line they can see, and misses become obvious the moment the ball crosses.

Targets in 4 inch increments

Each stick adjusts to a fixed number of string positions, spaced 4 inches apart. The 24 inch model gives 5 positions, the 48 inch model gives 11, and the 72 inch model gives 17 and is built in aluminum. More positions means more of the zone covered, from the bottom of the knees to above the hands, which is what you want if the same setup has to serve a staff rather than one pitcher.

Why a string beats a spot on a net

A target painted on a net tells a pitcher whether they hit it. A string tells them where the ball crossed relative to a plane, which is the information that actually changes a delivery. Setting two strings turns the drill into a window, and that is the version most coaches end up running.

Choose your base, or use one you own

Pitching Sticks come with a Classic base, a Pro base in 16, 18 or 20 inch, or no base at all if you already own a G Tee. The no base option is the one to take if you have a tee in the bag already; the Pro base is the one to take if this is going to live in a bullpen and needs to stay put.

Who these are for

Baseball pitchers who train alone and need feedback that does not require a catcher's opinion, and coaches running bullpens who want a repeatable setup rather than a new one each session. Pairs naturally with the Pinch Hitter Screen so a pitcher throws with a hitter in the picture.

What is included

The pitching sticks in the height you choose, with strings, and the base if you select one. The strike zone target is a separate product, and replacement strings are sold separately.

Which height should I choose?

24 inch covers the lower half of the zone and is the cheapest way in. 48 inch covers the full zone for most pitchers and is the usual choice. 72 inch is for facilities that want the whole plane, including high targets.

Do the strings wear out?

They do, and they are a consumable rather than a repair. Replacement strings and bands come in four lengths and in light, heavy or half inch band.

Can I add a strike zone?

Yes. The Strike Zone is a 17 by 27 inch banded target that mounts to the sticks.

Do I need a base?

Only if you do not already own a G Tee. The sticks use the same upright fitting as every G Tee base.
