About the AceSportz AceGripz Bat Handle Grip Trainer
AceSportz AceGripz is a patented bat handle trainer that builds strength in the fingers, wrists and forearms by doing the most natural thing a baseball or softball player can do: swing the bat. Slide the grip onto the handle and swing. The thicker handle makes the hand and forearm muscles work harder on every rep, and over time that strength shows up as a faster, stronger swing.
Rice buckets and wrist curls build strength away from the swing. AceGripz builds it in the swing itself, so the strength carries straight over to game at bats.
How AceGripz Works
Hitters spend years swinging bats with nearly identical handle sizes, so the muscles in the fingers, wrists and forearms get used to that one grip. AceGripz slips over the handle and makes it thicker, which forces those muscles to work harder on every swing. Players keep their normal swing, at their normal speed, and simply swing with the grip on during tee work, soft toss or dry swings. Over weeks of use the hands and forearms get stronger, so when the grip comes off the bat feels lighter and the barrel moves faster through the zone.
Size Guide
- Small: 40 mm wide, youth players
- Medium: 45 mm wide, high school players
- Large: 50 mm wide, college and pro players
- XL: 55 mm wide, pro players
Anyone can use any size; the chart is a starting point. When in doubt, choose the smaller size, and move up a size as your grip strength improves.
Choose the Handle Style
- Straight Handle: for metal bats with a straight handle, including most softball bats and youth baseball bats.
- Senior League Bevel: for metal bats with a beveled (flared) handle, including many BBCOR, high school, college and senior league bats.
- Wood Bat: for wood bats with little or no tape on the handle. Thickly taped handles will not work well.
Not sure? If your bat is wood, choose Wood Bat. If it is metal, look at the handle: straight handles take the Straight Handle grip and flared handles take the Senior League Bevel grip.
How to Use It
- Open the grip at the slit and slide it onto the handle of the bat.
- Take your normal swings off a tee, in soft toss or as dry swings.
- Start with short sets and build up as grip strength improves.
- Take the grip off and finish each session with a few game swings to feel the lighter handle.
Choose a Color
AceGripz comes in black or green. The color does not change the size or feel.
Pairs Well With
