The Rise Ball for the Younger Pitcher

Jerry Johnson announced he was creating a new pitching instructional video in 2010. It's titled The Rise Ball "For The Younger Pitcher" which highlights the mechanics and concept of including the devastating Rise ball in your pitching arsenal. This DVD is full of drills for the beginner, intermediate and advanced Softball pitcher. The Rise Ball has been known by many different names and is one of the most difficult pitches to master. The Rise Ball must move through the Hitter's Power Zone, which is the chest area for most hitters. If the Rise Ball does not "jump" it can and, most likely will, be hit hard. Effectively mastering the Rise Ball will result in the pitch "jumping" out of the Power Zone at the last minute. Making this pitch a very effective tool for any level of competition.
