About the Slipp-Nott Traction Set - Base and 60-Sheet Mat

The Slipp-Nott Traction Set is a floor-standing sticky mat that strips dust, dirt and wax from athletic shoe soles in one step, so basketball and volleyball players keep their grip on hardwood and waxed indoor courts. Each set pairs a Slipp-Nott base with one mat of 60 clear adhesive sheets: players step across the mat, and when the top sheet is dirty it peels off to expose a clean one. It is indoor court equipment, built for smooth gym floors rather than baseball or softball fields.

Small or Large Slipp-Nott Traction Set

  • Small: 18 x 19 inch base with a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) backing and a 15 x 18 inch mat. A typical basketball game uses 3 to 6 sheets. Easy to carry and the usual pick for away games and benches with tight sidelines.
  • Large: 28 x 29 inch base with a natural vulcanized rubber backing and a 26 x 26 inch mat. A typical basketball game uses 2 to 4 sheets. Suited to home courts and facilities that host tournaments, where the sideline has room for it.
