ProNine PM9 Lite Foam Pitching Machine Baseballs - Dozen
The ProNine PM9 Lite is the machine ball for the youngest hitters in the cage: a 9 inch optic orange dimpled foam ball with a solid polyurethane center, built at two-thirds the weight of a regulation baseball for pitching machines running 40 MPH or under. Soft enough for ages 6 and up, indoors or outdoors, and it will not dent bats. Sold by the dozen.
Built for the First Thousand Swings
Young hitters learn fastest when the fear factor is gone. The PM9 Lite's soft dimpled foam takes the sting out of a missed catch or an inside pitch, while the bright optic orange color gives developing eyes an easy target to track out of the machine.
Mind the Speed Limit
ProNine rates the PM9 Lite for machine speeds of 40 MPH or under, which covers the youth settings on most pitching machines. Keep it under the limit and the lightweight foam delivers consistent, trackable flight rep after rep.
PM9 Lite or PMZ9?
ProNine makes two foam machine balls and they do different jobs. This PM9 Lite is the dimpled, two-thirds-weight ball for young hitters on slow machine settings. The PMZ9 Zero Foam ball is even lighter, just over 3 ounces, and shines with training bats and hand-protection work. Full-weight cage work belongs to the PM9 dimpled ball.
