About the Personal Pitcher Web Glove
The Personal Pitcher Web Glove is a small neoprene training glove that fits over your index finger and thumb, creating a little pocket right in the web of the hand. That is exactly where a baseball should be caught, and with no padding to hide behind, the glove makes that habit automatic. It is a real challenge: a player who can consistently catch with the Web Glove usually has the best hands on the team.
Soft Hands Start With Small Balls
The Web Glove is designed to catch small Wiffle golf balls, so it pairs naturally with the Personal Pitcher PRO pitching machine and its small Wiffle balls. A light plastic ball takes the sting and the fear out of catching, which makes this one of the safest ways to teach young players proper technique and build confidence early.
Drills to Run With the Web Glove
- Catcher framing: receive pitches from the machine and stick them quietly
- Fly ball drills for outfielders tracking the ball into the web
- Turning two for middle infielders working on quick transfers
- Picking short hops and ground balls in the infield
- Hand-eye conditioning drills for players of any age
What the Web Glove Builds
Catching in the web instead of the palm develops soft hands, sharper hand-eye coordination and confidence fielding the ball. Younger players also lose their fear of the ball because the small plastic ball cannot hurt them.
