The Markwort Professional Model Catcher's Mask is a traditional-style baseball catcher's mask with a hollow tubular steel frame, black leather and vinyl padding, and an extended lower section that covers the chin and throat. It is an adult-size mask, lightweight for steel, and finished all black. Catchers who prefer the open feel of a traditional mask over a one-piece hockey-style helmet, and coaches who catch bullpens, are the main audience.

Professional Model Catcher's Mask Frame and Coverage

The frame is made from hollow tubular steel, which keeps weight down while holding the strength a catcher needs against foul tips. The lower frame extends below the chin to add coverage over the throat, and extra-wide ear sections protect the sides of the head from balls that glance off at an angle. An attached elastic head harness holds the mask in place.
