The Markwort Movable Youth Pitching Rubber Set is a complete removable pitching rubber system for youth baseball mounds. A 4 inch by 18 inch rubber mounts on a double metal stanchion anchor that secures into a double metal receptacle in the mound, so the rubber comes out after a game or practice and goes back in for the next one. It is built for multi-purpose fields.

Why a Removable Youth Pitching Rubber

A spiked or buried rubber stays where it is put. That is fine on a dedicated youth diamond, but on a field shared with other programs, a fixed rubber gets in the way and takes a beating from mowers, drags and foot traffic. With this set, the receptacle stays in the ground and the rubber is removed between uses, which leaves the mound area clear and protects the rubber. If one field hosts more than one age division, a removable rubber is also how you change setups without touching the mound clay. Setting the receptacle is the bigger job and is usually done when the mound is built or rebuilt. After that, putting the rubber in or taking it out takes no digging at all.
