G Tee 3N1 Pro Batting Tee

The G Tee 3N1 Pro Batting Tee combines three cupped upper sections on a single telescoping upright with a Pro base machined from 1/4 in (6.35mm) stainless steel, offered in 16 in (41cm), 18 in (46cm) and 20 in (51cm). Three balls sit at three baseball or softball locations at once, over a base heavy enough that nothing shifts when a hitter drives the outside corner. It is the configuration for programs that want sequence work and stability in one tee.

Sequence Work on a Base That Does Not Move

Stacking three cups on one upright is what makes consecutive looks possible without repositioning the tee. Putting that upright on a steel base is what makes those looks repeatable at full swing speed, because a lighter platform under a loaded upright can creep, and creep is invisible until the drill has already stopped training what the coach set. Roger Frash, head assistant baseball coach at Oxnard College, describes fifteen to twenty thousand swings on a personal G Tee with the tee still holding up and specifically credits the height flexibility from 16 in to 53 in.

Stephanie Best of ProSwings and Kundy Gutierrez of The Baseball Legends make the same durability and adjustability points from the instruction side.

Three Base Sizes in Stainless Steel

The Pro base is 1/4 in (6.35mm) stainless steel in 16 in (41cm), 18 in (46cm) or 20 in (51cm). It resists slipping, holds position when the ball is set off either corner, and removes the need for a weight on the base. Choosing among the three trades footprint against portability: 20 in for the steadiest platform, 16 in if the tee moves regularly, 18 in in between.

The same three cup layout on high-density polyethylene is the G Tee 3N1 Classic Batting Tee. A single cup on the same Pro base is the G Tee Pro Batting Tee.

Upright and Cups

One telescoping upright in the range you select: 18 in to 30 in (46cm to 76cm), 22 in to 41 in (56cm to 104cm), or 26 in to 53 in (66cm to 135cm). Seals and bushings hold the set height through a round. Three upper sections mount to that upright, each with its own flexible rubber cup that yields at contact so the hitter reads the barrel by feel and sound. Cups are replaced individually as they wear.

Build and Repair

Machined stainless steel and aluminum on a patented design, made in Ocala, Florida since 2009, with every component stocked as a separate part. A two year warranty covers parts and labor.

Who This G Tee 3N1 Pro Batting Tee Is For

College, academy and serious high school baseball and softball programs running location sequences at full swing speed. Instructors with a permanent station who want three looks without committing to a long triple base. Hitters already training on a Pro base who want the multi cup upgrade. If carrying weight down is the priority, the Classic version or the G Tee Lite Batting Tee is the better answer.

Training Applications

  • Three location sequences at full swing speed on a base that stays put.
  • Plane change drills where the hitter adjusts swing path pitch to pitch.
  • Corner work, with the steel base holding position off the inside and outside edges.
  • High volume rounds in a fixed cage station.
  • Low pitch training with low ball attachments on the upright.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which base size should I choose?

The 20 in (51cm) for a fixed station and aggressive corner work, the 16 in (41cm) if the tee moves often, the 18 in (46cm) between the two.

Can I add the three cup sections to a tee I already own?

Yes. The G Tee 3N1 Attachment fits an existing G Tee upright and is usually cheaper than a second complete tee.

How does this differ from the 3N1 Classic?

Only the base. This one is 1/4 in stainless steel in three sizes and needs no weight; the Classic is a 12 in polyethylene base that takes an optional 10 lb plate.

Do the three cups adjust independently?

They sit at fixed relative positions on the upright. Telescoping the upright moves all three together.

Does it suit softball?

Yes. The cups take either ball and the upright covers both strike zones.
