These lightweight, sponge-like practice balls fly like a real baseball pitch, so hitters can read curves, sliders and fastballs and work on timing, but a ball that runs inside just bounces off without a sting. They come in high-visibility Optic Yellow and are sold by the dozen.

Lite-Flite baseballs mimic the flight of a real baseball, so the pitch a hitter sees is a realistic throw, even at regulation pitching distances. That lets a young baseball player practice recognizing spin and staying in on a breaking pitch, the skill that is hardest to build when every inside pitch is a threat.
