The Institutional Power Zone Hitting Station from Muhl Tech is a complete baseball training station that targets hitting accuracy and swing mechanics on one side and explosive hitting power on the other side. This station has wheels on one end and handles on the other to make it easy to roll on and off the field. This multi-station training center allows multiple players to train at the same time.

One side of the station has the Zone Hitter training tool. The Zone Hitter is a simple yet effective tool to help baseball players get in maximum swing reps while also giving them a training tool that is designed to keep the hands inside the ball. If a hitter is swinging around the ball or casting, the ball will instantly come up and hit one of the side flaps. If the hitter keeps their hands inside the ball and drives straight through it, it will spin between the pads.

The other side has the very popular Power Bag training aid. The Power Bag will help hitters learn to drive through the contact point. Over time, hitters will get to where they use their "bottom half" as a power source as they try to drive the bag with the bat as high as they can. The better a hitter's mechanics, the more they tend to move the bag.

The Pitch Location Mats shown in the image are NOT included.

You can also select from a junior, medium, or large Power Bag:

We have received input from many coaches over years and can help you make the best decision possible based on what your needs are. The guidelines below are what we recommend.

Junior Power Bag - 5 lbs. (7" diameter & 24" long) - For most all players 13 and under. (120 lbs. and below) This bag is somewhat closer to hitting a deflated basketball though heavier. As a coach it depends on what you are after. This bag does not hang as far from the top arm as the other two making it easier to hit around. Most 9 year old boys will get it around once with practice, 12 year old boys 2-4 times, average 14 year old 5-8 times. This bag is perfect for teaching the younger kids why good mechanics lead to more power.

Medium Power Bag - 7.5 lbs. (7" diameter & 24" long) - For smaller boys 14 and over, all high school and college girls. (players 110-200 lbs.) We have had several HS fastpitch coaches inform us that by the end of their first year using this bag, 4-6 of their girls were hitting this bag all the way around. Zero were at the beginning of the year.

Large Power Bag - 9.5 lbs. (10" diameter & 24" long) - For large boys 15 and over, High school baseball, college baseball and pros. (players over 180 lbs.) A college player should be able to hit this bag all the way around. We have had a few HS baseball coaches say they prefer the medium bag since it is easier to hit through. We feel this bag is best for most HS programs. The more you use it, the stronger the kids get and the easier it becomes as the season goes along.

    Institutional Power Zone Hitting station

The ordering process was easy, and the shipping was fast. The assembly instructions leave a little to be desired. The power bag is awesome. The girls on my team loved it from the first swing and felt like they had more power right after using it. The hitting some takes some time for the girls to get used to. Overall a good product.

    Power Zone Hitting Station Review

Posted by Layne W. on Jul 13, 2016

We bought this from the Hitting Store after much research. The station itself is everything we hoped for. I will say we bought it primarily for the heavy bag to work on hitting through the ball and not just to it. So we like the way it is working and try to get some work in with it almost every day. One thing I appreciated was the service I received from the Hitting Store. We requested a last minute change and they got that done without us having to ship anything back (We wanted the Medium Size Bag - Not the Junior Size) Also, the station gets shipped in two orders and when we inquired about that, The Hitting Store double checked and sure enough the other box came the next day. Really can't ask anymore than the terrific service we received. I really hate taking time to write reviews - Maybe once or twice a year, the Hitting Store deserves a good review - That is my story and I'm sticking to it!!

I run the baseball program where I live. Over 100 kids have used this machine in just 2 days. It's a great tool and think every program should get it
