CamWood

CamWood makes wood training bats and game bats for baseball and softball hitters, based in Waynesville, North Carolina. The company was started by Trey Sikes, a former Division I hitter, around a simple idea: put the extra weight of a training bat in the hands instead of the barrel. That design became the CamWood Hands & Speed Trainer, and former major league infielder Wes Helms now leads CamWood's coaching.

CamWood Training Bats

The Baseball Hands & Speed Trainer and Softball Hands & Speed Trainer keep the hands inside the ball, stop casting and build bat speed. The Baseball One Hand Trainer and Softball One Hand Trainer isolate the bottom and top hand, and the Baseball and Softball Sweet Spot Bats use a raised 3 inch sweet spot to train barrel accuracy. Want both core trainers? The baseball and softball trainer sets put them in one order. Every CamWood trainer is sized to match the player's game bat.

CamWood Pro Grade Beech Game Bats

CamWood stock game bats are turned from Pro Grade Beech graded to a slope of grain of 3 percent or less, with a cupped end and a black barrel over a natural handle. Choose the semi end-loaded FT23, the long-barrel RA13, the Torpedo with its barrel mass shifted toward the label, or the balanced 271 Youth for younger hitters. Coaches can add the CamWood wood fungo in 33 to 36 inch lengths.
