good purchase for our needs & budget

Posted by Paul V. on Jan 10, 2021

I purchased this cage with the intention of setting it up indoors and it turned out to be a great decision. The design allows the cage to stand alone without additional support. I cannot comment on an outdoor setup however. The cage is already in use. I recommend using all of the carabiner clips to elevate the cage as high as possible and maybe a few tie wrap to stretch out the net at the batter position to avoid hitting the net on the follow through. Mostly for the bigger players. The supplier omitted to send the instructions but we managed to set it up in a couple of hours through trial and error. I shopped around for the EMT conduit 1 1/4" poles and found an electrical store selling them 20% cheaper than Home Depot in Canada. So shop around. My cost for the poles was 50% of the cost of the cage. It was a tight fit for some of the poles into the fitting pieces so a can of WD 40 will do the trick and don't be afraid to push them (rubber hammer) all the way if necessary.
