The lemon-peel cover is a different pattern from the two-piece figure-eight cover that later became standard on the modern baseball, and it is one of the first things players and spectators notice. The ball also makes a distinctive display piece or gift for anyone who collects baseball history.

Markwort Vintage Old Tyme Baseball Specifications

Era: 1861 to 1867 style baseball

Cover: off-white leather

Stitching: white, lemon-peel pattern

Size: 9 1/2 inch

Weight: about 5.5 oz

Sold as: one dozen

Looking for modern practice balls instead?
