The white playing surface is framed by a black beveled edge, and the anchor is rubber rather than a metal stanchion. It suits game and practice fields that want a regulation plate on a simpler anchor.

How This Markwort Home Plate Holds Its Position

Every permanent home plate has to resist the same thing: cleats digging in on every swing and a catcher shifting behind it all game. Plates handle that in one of three ways. A bury-all plate, like the Bury-All Baseball Home Plate we carry, relies on a deep one-piece body set into the ground. A pro-style stanchion plate seats a steel back on an in-ground anchor. This plate uses a rubber anchor stake, and because the stake is removable, the anchor is not a permanent fixture. Whichever style you choose, set the plate level and flush with the surrounding surface, and check the alignment of the point toward the pitcher's rubber before packing the clay. A plate that sits even slightly high catches cleats; one that sits low collects water.

Markwort Pro Home Plate with Rubber Anchor Specifications

Size: official 17 inch baseball home plate

Anchor: removable rubber anchor stake

Color: white surface with black beveled edge

Made in Taiwan

See every plate and base in bases and home plates.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0957/4658/8987/files/markwort-home-plate-rubber-anchor-stake-on-field.jpg?v=1793742635
