Its -11 length-to-weight ratio keeps it light enough for a young hitter to get the barrel through the zone on time, and the 2 5/8 inch barrel gives a bigger hitting surface than a 2 1/4 inch barrel. It fits players moving through coach pitch, kid pitch and their first seasons of travel baseball who want an easy-swinging, durable alloy bat.

One-Piece Alloy for an Honest, Responsive Feel

The Uprising is built as a single alloy piece from knob to end cap. A one-piece bat feels stiff at contact, so a hitter knows right away whether the ball came off the sweet spot or off the end, and that feedback is how young players learn to square the baseball up. The ZnX alloy handle adds stiffness and flexes less, which lets the barrel do more of the work on solid contact. Alloy also holds up well to the daily grind of practice, cage rounds and weekend games, which matters for a bat that gets swung hundreds of times a week.

Big D End Cap Helps Take Out the Sting

Nothing makes a young hitter tentative faster than a stinging mishit on a cold morning. The Big D end cap helps absorb vibration, so a ball caught near the end of the barrel or in on the hands is less likely to leave a player shaking out their fingers. Hitters who are not afraid of the sting swing with more confidence, and confident swings are the ones that get better.

Choosing an Uprising Length and Weight

Because the Uprising is a -11, each length weighs 11 ounces less than its length in inches:

27 inch: 16 ounces

28 inch: 17 ounces

29 inch: 18 ounces

30 inch: 19 ounces

31 inch: 20 ounces

Bat speed matters more than bat size at this age. A good check: the player holds the bat by the handle straight out to the side for several seconds. If the barrel drops, go shorter. When a player falls between two lengths, the shorter bat is usually the better choice, and moving up a length next season is easier than fighting a bat that is too long now.

Is the Uprising Legal in My League?

The Uprising carries the USA Baseball (USABat) stamp. Many youth baseball organizations play under the USA Baseball bat standard, but rules vary by league and change over time, so always check your league's current bat rules before game day. A USA bat is not the same as a United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) bat: players in USSSA travel events need a bat with the USSSA stamp, and a USA bat will not be accepted there.

Who This USA Baseball Bat Is For

Youth baseball players in USA Baseball leagues who need a light -11 bat

Players stepping up from a tee ball bat who are ready for a 2 5/8 inch barrel

Contact hitters who want control and bat speed over extra barrel weight

Parents looking for a durable alloy bat that can handle practice and games

DeMarini 2027 Uprising -11 USA Baseball Bat Specifications

Model: WBD2721010

Model year: 2027

Certification: USA Baseball (USABat)

Drop (length-to-weight ratio): -11

Barrel diameter: 2 5/8 inches

Construction: one-piece alloy

Handle: ZnX alloy

End cap: Big D end cap

Lengths: 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31 inches (16 to 20 ounces)

Sport: baseball

Warranty: one year manufacturer warranty

Complete the Youth Bat Bag

Browse every stamped option in our USA baseball bats collection.
